WE DID IT!!!!!!

We surpassed our goal for the Coin Drive. THANK YOU!!!! The money will go towards purchasing new swings for the playground.

Because we met our goal, all students are invited to wear their PAJAMAS to school on Monday. Remember to dress warmly because the students will still go out for recess.

Walking School Bus

UPDATE: The WSB has suspended meeting at the Farmer’s Market until springtime.
The Walking School Bus is part of the Safe Routes to School Program in Michigan.  It provides safe alternative methods for students to get to school. This is done by establishing a remote-drop spot (such as a business) and/or designated home-drops (a house). From there, parent volunteers walk to school with the students. Walking to school helps mental concentration & means less traffic congestion. When students have registered as walkers, they record their walking days on their WSB card. After 5 days of walking, a toe token is awarded.  After every 20 days, a completed WSB card becomes an entry into the end of the year drawing.  This year, those prizes are a bike and helmet. Currently, we have the Holt Farmer’s Market as our remote-drop spot. We meet there on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:45am-8am, and begin walking at 8am. If the neon “Walking Wally” safety sign is not out, then we will not be walking that day. This year, we are walking with students and adults from Hope Middle School too. We are in need of parent volunteers to assist with this, and we are always looking for families to have their home used as a designated home-drop spot. If you would like to volunteer, all that is needed is a free background check  If you are interested or have any other questions, please contact Elliott’s WSB coordinator: Lisa Bean, lisabean69@hotmail.com 699-8147 or 282-5542 (call or text)
